How it all started
Here at Elliot Leigh we are always striving to make a real difference in our local and surrounding communities. We're not just about managing properties, we're about changing lives which is even more important now in the midst of the current national housing crisis.
Taking you back to 2003, our founders Elliot Altman and Leigh Young founded Elliot Leigh Guaranteed Rents in a bid to support a local authority initiative to introduce more private landlords to the social housing sector. 20 years and thousands of landlords and properties later, our Guaranteed Rent scheme is now open to landlords throughout London and Essex. Landlords can lease their properties to us, and in return, we guarantee them a steady income. But here's the best part: we use those properties to provide safe, temporary homes for families in need.

It's not just families that we're helping – our guaranteed rent offering is a win-win for landlords too. They get a hassle-free way to earn income from their properties while also knowing that they're making a positive impact in their community. Social impact
The important part to note about our scheme is that it isn’t just about making money, it's about giving back. Every property we lease means that there's one more family that has a roof over their heads and out of hotels, hostels and other inconvenient properties.
What's even better is seeing the social impact we're making first-hand. We've met families who were struggling to make ends meet, and thanks to Elliot Leigh, they now have a safe and secure place they can call home, however temporary it may be.
